VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We are so excited about our outdoor worship service next Sunday. In preparation, we need volunteers! We are looking for about 15 people. Saturday morning we need to set up tents, a stage, and prepare the inside for those who choose to worship there.
Sunday we will need to set up tables, some chairs, and the worship equipment. We will also need greeters/ushers for Sunday morning.
Are you willing to help? Please contact the church office by Tuesday, July 21 to volunteer!
Thank you!
The Worship Team
Prayer Request: Kennedy Lankhorst and Matthew Beerens will be married this Saturday. Please pray over their marriage and all who are traveling to Indiana for this blessed celebration.
Alli Langeland and Adam Campbell will be married in the church next Friday, July 24th. Typically we invite the congregation to the ceremony but because of COVID and having to social distance, we will not have that luxury. Instead, the family would appreciate the congregation's prayers of blessing for Alli and Adam's life together.
And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:14
Update on Carol Wyngarden
Monday, July 13th, we saw the Multi-Specialty Team in Grand Rapids. It consisted of Dr. Brede from Urology, Dr. Mahacek from Radiation Oncology, and Dr. Campbell the Medical Oncologist (chemo). They recommended chemotherapy first possibly followed by immunotherapy or radiation (or both). They referred us to Dr. Knol in Muskegon for chemotherapy who we saw on Tuesday, July 14. Carol will begin chemotherapy on August 5 and will receive chemotherapy one day per week for two weeks and have the third week off. She will repeat that cycle for 4-6 times. She will then have CT scans every 3 months. For now, radiation or immunotherapy is not planned.
Terry and Carol thank you for your prayers, expressions of concern, cards, meals, and offers of help. They believe God is answering your and our prayers through Carol’s exceptional progress and your support.

Our July Mission of the Month is World Renew. World Renew helps in many ways around the world. One of their branches is disaster response. They respond both domestically and internationally to areas devastated by tornadoes, hurricanes, and storms.
BASEMENT PROJECT APPEAL: Thank you to those that have given toward the ServPro bill and new carpet. We are still a long way from covering this unexpected expense. This fundraiser will run through the end of the month.
Below is the original notice:
The basement flooding has caused an unexpected financial expense for 2020. Our insurance policy has a $10,000 flood damage limit, and the total cost for ServPro restoration and carpet replacement for church and the parsonage exceeds $50,000. If you would like to contribute towards this $40,000 need, please send in checks or Venmo funds with "Basement Project" in the memo line. We expect work to be done in late July or early August, so this fundraiser will run from now until July 31st. Please remember this should only be given in addition to your general fund gifts as we need to meet our operational obligations as well. Thank you for considering giving to this cause. Any questions can be addressed to Jodi Deur, Chair of Finance.
