Esther Spoelma fell and has has three stress fractures in both her pelvic and tail bones. Initially, it was thought that she broke her pelvic bone, and would need surgery so this is better news. The doctors feel that the stress fractures will heal on their own. She is in good spirits and has even walked a few steps already. It is unknown how long she will be at Mercy, or where she will do rehab.
