Mission of the Month for September
ReFrame Ministries is the Mission of the Month for September. ReFrame Ministries is the new name for Back to God Ministries International. The new name will be official in January but ReFrame is already well-known. The Today devotional books have both names listed as the publisher. The name is changing but the ministry, values, and core beliefs are not changing. The goal of the ministry remains to
help people reframe their lives in the light of God’s Word through radio broadcasts, internet programming, and printed materials. The ministry focuses on one thing: proclaiming the Gospel at home and around the world. In ordinary times as well as the uncertain times of COVID, what a blessing to be able to reach people with the Gospel. The radio, internet, and printed materials are able to reach people where in-person contact is not available or welcomed both in our country and around the world. In addition, there was $125 given toward the basement flood expenses.
$790 was given for the Mustard Seed School, our August Mission of the Month.
Prayer Update Jan Meyers had successful surgery on her hip late last week. She also suffered from low sodium, which led to some confusion for her for a while. Her sodium level is almost back to normal now, and she has returned home. She is being cared for by family members. Please keep her in your prayers. Esther Spoelma is still in Allendale and is doing well. Her family plans to move her to the Provision House in Grand Rapids in about a week or so. We will post her new address when we receive it. She appreciates our prayers and cards. DIRECT YOUR DOLLARS RECEIPTS & BIKE MINISTRY: Keep saving your D&W and Family Fare receipts for our next $1,000 check from the Direct Your Dollars fundraiser! We currently have $75,634 in receipts towards the goal of $150,000. When we reach our goal Spartan Nash will issue a $1,000 check for church. We will use that money for the Bike Ministry to purchase baskets, bells, racks, training wheels, tires, brakes, chain guards and whatever else is helpful to continue making available bikes in good working condition to those in our community who need them. Put your receipts in the offering basket, give them to Ken VD or Joan G or put them in the Receipt Box by the Colfax garage door. Thanks!

Our new September Mission of the Month is ReFrame Ministries (Back to God Ministries). ReFrame is a fresh way of saying what has always been believed: a relationship with Jesus Christ changes everything. The messages shared always focus on Jesus’ work to redeem the lost and renew all through things through His resurrection. Back to God started out as a radio ministry in 1939 and has evolved to use all types of media. With the name change also comes a logo change that still includes the blue globe and cross to reflect and honor the past. The tagline also encompasses the above:

The church office will be closed on Monday, September 7th in observation of Labor Day as well Friday, September 11th & Monday, September 14th with email and voicemail being checked by Deanne Brink.
